We the class-conscious workers of the New Labor Organizing Committee (NLOC), formed our organization in 2025 to respond to the working people’s desperate need for an independent workers’ movement in the United States. Our founding organizations justly condemned the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) system of the capitalist US government as a tool to oppress the workers. We understand that the existing labor organizations which derive their power from their certification with the NLRB and capitalist labor law instead of from the workers in each shop, in reality serve only the needs of American imperialism at the expense of the workers and nations oppressed by the United States, inside and outside its borders.
Membership in the NLOC is open to working-class and poor people of employment age whether employed or unemployed who believe in our mission and are ready to take part in building our organization.
To become a member, you must:
- Support the NLOC’s Program, Constitution, and By-laws
- Support and participate in NLOC campaigns
- Commit to being an active member in an existing NLOC organization within your geographic or workplace Area of Responsibility (AOR)
— or — - Take initiative to help form a new NLOC organization in your area if none currently exists
We are an organization of active participants, not passive supporters. Membership means contributing to the work of building power in your community or workplace alongside others who share our commitment.
