Shop Papers

Class-conscious, rank-and-file led shop and industrial organizations are the backbone of the NLOC. We believe that workers themselves not outside officials, politicians, or paid staff must lead the struggle on the job. Real power on the shopfloor comes from the collective action of the people who do the work every day.

Our shop organizations are built directly at the point of production and service, where workers have the greatest leverage. When we organize where we work, we organize where the boss’s profits are made. That is where our power lies.

Shop papers are collective organizers in print. They inform, agitate, and unite. On the shopfloor where management controls official communication a shop paper gives workers our own voice.
